I used the new "Studio Gold" collection by Teresa Collins. So pretty! More details on Love My Tapes blog right here.

I used Love My Tapes lace tape (and bunch of paper scraps) to make this monochromatic card.

Happy 2015!

In just 4 more days we are going to welcome 2015. It it hard to believe, I feel only yesterday we were all talking about the 2K bug... And here it is - 2015!  Ready or not, it is knocking on ours doors, so we might just welcome it.

I am welcoming the new year with sparkly card. The design was inspired by the Scrappy Hands "Squares" challenge. I used beautiful papers by Teresa Collins from her Studio Gold collection.
I cut 4 polka dot squares and added the numbers that I cut from gold vinyl using Silhouette Cameo.

Supplies: patterned paper (Teresa Collins), vinyl (Oracal), Silhouette Cameo

The word happy is also cut from vinyl. Who needs to buy stickers when you can make anything you want with Silhouette?

I love how it turned out and hope my 2015 as bright and happy as this card.

I am wishing you a happy and peaceful 2015! May it be filled with joy, creativity and lasting memories.

Keep calm and light on

Two days before Hanukkah!! I should check the calendar more often. Feel totally not ready.

Except maybe in the decorations department. I try to make a Hanukkah decor project every year. Some of my favorites are this shadowbox and this star mini-album.

This year I made another shadowbox. I was inspired by the Scrappy Hands challenge 28 - Light

I used white 8x8 shadow box frame that I filled with small wood dreidels. I used blue glitter vinyl to cut the words and Crafting Jewish Style Hanukkah paper for the background.

Check the Scrappy Hands blog to see all other beautiful projects, and share your take on the challenge with us.

Happy Hanukkah to all who will light the first candle on Tuesday night,

Scrappy Hands challenge 27 - Birthday

Today Scrappy Hands blog is celebrating 1 year anniversary with a birthday challenge.

I made a sweet card for a wonderful little girl named Noa.
All shapes are cut with Silhouette Cameo.

I cut two big hearts, one from patterned paper and one from vellum and stitched them together adding sequins between the layers.

The sentiment, the name and the number are cut from glitter vinyl.

Check the blog for more birthday inspiration from the DT members and share your take on our birthday challenge for a chance to win a gift certificate to Kesem Shimushi store.

Scrappy Hands Challenge 26

It looks like I am on the shadow box roll! I made this cutie for the last Scrappy Hands challenge. The theme is "textures" and I used glitter paper, vinyl, sequins and pompoms.

I cut out this little guy from vinyl on my Silhouette Cameo. The snowflakes are cut from glitter vinyl and look so pretty.

I planned to use small glitter balls inside the shadowbox but they turned out too big. I found a bag of snowflake sequins and small pompoms in my "winter" drawer and dumped them inside.

I think it turned out super cute. Check what other DT members did here and share your take.

Here is a card I did for the previous Scrappy Hands challenge and didn't share yet. The theme was fall colors. I used Love My Tapes lace tape and bunch of lovely paper scraps.

I have two shadow boxes left. What should I make??

My Favorite Things Friday - Favorite Fall project

It is Friday, and today I am joining the Design Team at Scrap It Girl in sharing one favorite things that shares favorite Fall projects.

I picked this layout that I did way back in 2012. Eli is just one year old in this picture. Total cuteness!

More details about the layout in my original post.

Go and check what other DT members are sharing! You will be inspired!

And here is something else - my last project that I completed yesterday! It is a memory box for Lila. My thought was that she will keep her ticket stubs inside but she told me that it will be more appropriate for pictures of people in her life. Either way I hope she likes it and will use it.

Door hanger - Scrappy Hands challenge 24

Good morning my dear blog readers! Unfortunately my poor neglected blog doesn't get as much attention as I want but it is all for good reasons. I spend my days working on something new and exciting. I am going to share more in a while, but for now I will show you a door hanger I made for the new Scrappy Hands challenge.

I took a 12x4 piece of cardstock and cut out a circle with Silhouette Cameo.

I designed the lettering in the Silhouette software and cut it from vinyl.

So easy and quick! That's hope this sign will be helpful in keeping my little one out of my studio :-)

Check what other DT members did and show us your take!
Happy Sunday!

Scrappy Hands Challenge 23 - Three elements

Good morning my dear blog readers. It is Monday morning here and I am looking forward to a beautiful week of crisp air, colorful leaves and fall beauty. I sure hope to sneak in few hours of crafty time hear or there. Meanwhile I will share another card that I made for Scrappy Hands challenge #23.

For this challenge I went to my Pinterest boards for inspiration. I originally pinned this card by Lynn Ghahary because I liked the dimensional hearts but now it's clean design featuring three embellishments caught my eye. I swapped the hearts for the butterflies and made few small changes but I stayed close to the original design.

Sometimes your just don't have to reinvent the wheel. There are so many ideas out there.

Scrap It Girl October challenge

I always think about myself as a scrapbooker first and a card maker second but I have to admit that I enjoy making cards. Especially when the time is short and I need some creative therapy.

I made this quick card for Scrap It Girl October challenge. The theme is embossing folders. Since my Revolution is not to be found since our move last summer, I opted to use pre-embossed cardstock.

Supplies: cardstock (Core'dinations), tag (Heidi Swapp), ink (CTMH), stamp (PTI), washi (Freckled Fawn), enamel dots (MME)

I took one of Heidi Swapp heart watercolor tags, added washi tape under the cut out letters and stamped the word birthday. I adhered the heart to the card base with foam tape to give it a 3d feel. The only thing left to do was to sprinkle colorful enamel dots.

Scrappy Hands challenge 22

Last Wednesday night my family celebrated the beginning of the new Jewish year - 5775 if you have to know ;-) It is only appropriate that the current Scrappy Hands challenge is all about beginnings.

I chose to make a layout about my son's first day in Hebrew school. I kept a paper ribbon hew got from his teacher and used it on the layout. It says"First Grade" in Hebrew. I also added the word "Shalom" (Hello) that I cut with Silhouette.

I kept the layout simple with adding just few school themed embellishments and shiny stars.

Check what other DT members did this week and share your projects with us, You don't need to read Hebrew to participate :)

I hope we all will have a great year ahead of us!

Supplies: stamps (The Rubber Cafe, Papertrey Ink), ink (Close To My Heart), lace (Love My Tapes), pens (Sakura)

I stamped the dove on white cardstock and stitched around the stamped image with gold embroidery floss. I used Love My Tapes lace tape to make a lacy border.

Scrap It Girl - September challenge

Hello, September! Tomorrow my kids will start the new school year - 1st, 8th and 11th grade. I am doing to take a deep breath and take it easy for the next few days. This summer was full of traveling and reuniting with family and friends. One of the best things that happened to me this summer was being able to meet with my college girlfriends. I love this instagram picture and I used it for Scrap It Girl September challenge. The challenge theme this month is stencils or masks. I used a piece of cardboard with holes as my stencil.

Supplies: cardstock (Recollection), patterned paper (Crate Paper), label stickers (Creative Imaginations), stickers (American Crafts), letter stickers (Pebbles, Bella BLVD), color shine (Heidi Swapp), cardboard, jewel

I sprayed the background cardstock with gold Color Shine several times, moving the stencil down the page. Thus the gold circles at the bottom of the page have more intense color that the one on the top.

I used the same piece of cardboard under the picture. I added torn strips of Crate Paper patterned paper and few stickers from my stash.

Scrappy Hands - challenge #20 (Hello)

Hello, Sunday! The new Scrappy Hands challenge is up and the new theme is Shalom, which means Hello or Piece in Hebrew. I use the instagram photo of the Wisconsin Starbucks mug that I snapped during my first Starbucks stop in Wisconsin. I took my kids on a road trip to visit their friends.

Supplies: patterned paper (Studio Calico), journaling cards (Pebbles), washi tape (Recollections and Love My Tapes), label stickers (7 Gypsies), chipboard (Heidi Swapp), foil accent (Jenni Bowlin), acrylic dots (My Mind's Eye)

I used old "Abroad" papers from Studio Calico and Silhouette Cameo to design and cut the title.

I also made a Hello card last week, during our road trip. I packed some washi tape and Sharpies and that was enough to make this cute and simple card.

Supplies: washi tape (Love My Tapes), Sharpies

P.S. Today is the last day of August. What happened to the summer??

Scrappy Hands challenge 19 - Red (take 2)

Supplies: cardstock (Core'dinations, Bazzill Basics), acrylic label (Heidi Grace), sticker (American Crafts), punch (Fiskars), brads, jewels

Today - quick card with red butterfly for Scrappy Hands red challenge. I used Fiskars squeeze punch and red embossed cardstock for the butterfly.

I gently sanded cream Core'dinations cardstock and layered it on top of red embossed cardstock. The sentiment is a clear sticker from American Crafts. I like using them for quick and simple cards.

Check what other DT members did for this challenge and share your take.

I am off to packing for our last summer trip. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week!

Love My Tapes

This is a catch up post to share all projects I did for the Love My Tapes blog in the last two months. I will start with my latest project - a layout where I used sharpies to doodle on washi tape.

I did the next project back in June - decorated gift bag with matching tag.

I used washi tape to "write" thank you on the gift bag and made the flower from folded pieces of washi tape.

The next project was a quick vase that I made on vacation using an empty chocolate tin and few washi tapes I threw in my suitcase.

I used it to decorate our picnic table.

And the last project is another quick decor project. I altered an empty plastic berry basket with fabric tapes.

It is going to be a cute storage container for my scrap room.

I think I am all caught up now! Are you a washi tape fan?
