More layouts

Here are some more layouts from the last couple of weeks.

This one is using a sketch from Inspired Blueprints Challenge blog. I used one of the older Jenni Bowlin kits. My trusty Threading Water punch made the cute scallop border. The swirls are Quickutz. This layout and the half of the next one I made at the crop. Last Saturday I went to crop with friends... and Eli. Yes I know, it's a new concept - baby crop. It wasn't so bad, I stayed for about 4 hours and did one page and several half pages. I wish I would remember to pick up my photos from Wallgreens when I left the house and not when I was almost at the crop. Well, at least I brought my trimmer with me and cardstock... LOL

Here is another Inspired Blueprints sketch. Again, Fiskars border punch (love them). The polka dot paper is by Heidi Grace. Jenni Bowlin tickets and journaling cards, Heidi Swapp chipboard heart.

This was my first take on Fiskars October sketch. PP, stickers, chipboard are by Heidi Grace, another Fiskars border punch .

I've been quite lately but it's not because I don't have what to share. I did a lot of layouts in last few weeks, some for the challenges, some for the classes and some as gifts. And of course I have tons of cute pictures of Eli who is exactly 1 month and 7 days old today.

Here is a page I page for the grandma and grandpa to take home. I think I should make one for myself also. I used Fiskars October sketch and Heidi Grace "Only time" line.

This layout is from Big Picture Scrapbooking "Design Your Life" class by Cathy Zielske. Not very happy how it turned out and the colors are off in this picture but well, it's done.

This is my first sewing project! :) A little tote bag for Ella's Halloween costume. Now I feel ready to tackle bigger projects.

An the last but not least is the picture of my sweet baby boy - one month old here.

Give Yourself a Present!

This mini album is my response to Stacy Julian challenge Give Yourself a Present.
That's what she said:
• Snap ten or twelve photos of your life right now. Or find recent photos that you've already taken.
• Compile these photos in one of these super-cute Bazzill Mono-Mini albums (keep reading)
• Keep or carry this album with you, tucked in your purse or desk drawer for one full year.
• Promise to glance through the album every time you stumble upon it or pull it out.
• On October 1st, 2009, create a scrapbook page about your experience.

I used the photos from the last two weeks of September and put them in the little minibook made using One Little Book Template from 3D Design challenge blog. The whole book is done from one piece of 12x12 cardstock! I added a ribbon closure and a patterned paper cover. I wanted to keep it very simple so I just dressed up the cover with my favorite Heidi Swapp mask and some paint. The little chipboard heart is by Heidi Grace.

2 weeks

It is Saturday, October 4th and that means my baby is 2 weeks old! The time is flying too fast :( Oh, and my little sister had a birthday today. Happy Birthday little sister! Love you!
Thank you all for the wonderful comments! I am going to print them and add to the Eli's greeting cards. Thank you, thank you! He is the sweetest little guy.
Here is Lila holding his hand. Too cute!

Few days ago we had another new arrival. My new sewing machine had arrived!! The best part - I won it during the chat with June Mellinger organized by Lead Fiskateer Rebecca! June is the Director of Education for Brother International. I was thinking about getting the sewing machine for a while and this will be perfect for me.

Now I just need to decide what to sew! :)

Few days ago I finally finished a project that I started in August. It is a star shaped mini album from the class taught by Tena Sprenger. It has 7 pages. I put 2 baby pictures of each of my kids. I still need to add one picture with 3 of them together. I love how it turned out.

The last thing for today is the layout made for Design You Life class by Cathy Zielske. The subject of this week is symmetrical balance.
