Touch of Glaze

Supplies: cardstock (unknown), patterned paper (Basic Grey, Martha Stewart, 7 gypsies), red letter stickers (Cloud 9), black letter stickers (EK success), acrylic stickers (Cloud 9, Heidi Grace), diecut machine and frame die (Quickutz)

New layout from last night based on Janna's challenge to use a fancy die-cut paper. I pulled out this Basic Gray lace paper and tried it on different backgrounds - white, black, cream, blue. the blue looked the best so I chose it. Only after that I started to look for the pictures to scrap. In my 2007 storage binder I found those pictures from my birthday. It was a year when we actually did something for my birthday - we went to Touch of Glaze. I finished this page with few paper scraps and acrylic embellishments. Not my usual way of scrapbooking but it worked.

  1. Pretty! We should take the girls there sometime! I remember when we went - that was fun. :)

  2. We went to a place like that for a 6 year olds party..it was pretty chaotic! I have that diecut too and until now hadn't a clue what colour to use behind it. I think I'll try blue, thank you :)

  4. Oooh lovely! That's the layout and the ceramic painting!
I think the blue background really makes that lace die-cut special! And it's just right for your choice of photos (or they are right for the paper lol!).

Great layout, Maya. Me & DS went to a ceramic-painting shop for my birthday a couple of years ago. I painted a butterfly and he did a large lizard (very well I might add). It was a lovely afternoon. The only reason we haven't been since was the phenomenal price tag at the end of the day! But it was my birthday...
