Yellow Brick Road - part II

If you remember from part I, I made one layout with the group picture and a mini album. I still had some pictures left that I wanted to use. I decided to make another layout with Lila and her BFF. The title came from the name of the number they both participated in. I didn't have much of the paper left, so I used the scraps to make the background collage. The chipboard letters and hearts are from my old stash. 

Supplies: cardstock (American Crafts), patterned paper (Graphic 45), chipboard letters (Cloud 9), chiboard hearts (Heidi Grace), jouranling card and tickets (Jenni Bowlin), paint

I picked 6 more pictures and put them into divided page protector. I didn't embellish them, only matted with the cardstock and patterned paper.

At that point I felt that I did enough with the pictures from the musical. I kept 2 more pictures of Lila and her friend for my (future) category files and the rest of the pictures that were mainly of other kids were sent to school.

Now I had just few small scraps left.

Usually at this point I would put the scraps in the bag and add them to my patterned paper storage. This time I decided that I am going to use what I can. I checked the pagemaps site and found a sketch that I liked.
I made 3 cards, almost identical.

The poppies were cut from the patterned paper and layered. I added black stickles to the centers and few punched leaves in between. After I was done I threw away all paper scraps that were left. Yes, I threw them away. (Except the small paper scrap from the poppies paper, I love it that much). And it feels good!
