We’ll be hopping all weekend , March 24th and 25th to welcome spring!
The blog hop officially ends on Sunday March 25th at 11pm CST.
Some Fiskateers are offering sur-prizes…check their directions carefully to participate.
Now, after this long introduction I am ready to share my project. Getting ready for this blog hop I really wanted to use my first squeeze punch. My first squeeze punch came in a prize package from Stephenie Fiskateer #3 together with full Valentine collection from Heidi Grace. That punch was Funky Heart. It was a start of what became an expansive and very loved collection of squeeze punches. Funky Heart is still one of my favorite punches. It is one of the few punches that I have in all three sizes.
I decided to make flowers using folded hearts as petals. I was inspired by this breathtaking project. One day I will make a shadow frame for my craft space. Today I will show you how I made my card.
I started with 5"x7" blank card and punched the front bottom edge of the card using Leaves border punch. I also made a punched border from green paper using the same punch. The finished border measures 1"x7".
I trimmed the back of the card to make sure it is the same height as the front and adhered the punched border inside the card.
Next I opened the card and stamped the sentiment on the front. The sentiment is from Fiskars "Put On Your Party Hat" stamp set.
For each flower I punched 7 hearts using "Funky Heart" punch. I made one flower with Large punch and 3 with Medium punch. The paper by Martha Stewart. It comes in great bright colors and has 2 different shades of the same color on the front and on the back of the paper. I also punched out one circle for each flower.
To make a flower I scored the hearts, folded them to make petals and adhered to the circle forming a flower shape.
Thanks for hopping by…next stop is Tami 804 www.tamibayer.com Tami is one of our fearless Lead Fiskateers so I am sure you are up for a treat.
Oh, wait. I hope you leave a comment because there is a prize involved. New in the package, Fiskars Love Takes Flight Limited Edition punch. I would love you to become a follower but it is not required for the giveaway. Just leave me a comment. :)
