Go green!

March is in full swing now and everyone are talking about green colors and being green, recycling and up-cycling. And this is the theme of the March challenge at Scrap It Girl: Go Green and Recycle!

Accidentally, few weeks ago, I looked at the little plastic tag from the plastic bag with a loaf of bread and thought that I like it. Instead of throwing it away I put it on my craft desk. Few weeks later I had a nice pile of tags in different colors and sizes. "I could make a banner from those little plastic creatures", I told to myself and I did.

I usually start my layout with the background cardstock or patterned paper, but this time I only had an idea for a banner, 2 big bingo cards and "wonder" flashcard. After some digging in my stash I found what was left form the Cosmo Cricket "Upcycle" kit (coincidence?) and decided that it will work.

Supplies: patterned paper, sticker (Cosmo Cricket), bingo cards (K&Co), green letter stickers (American Crafts), red letter stickers (Cosmo Cricket), pin (Jillibean Soup), tag (October Afternoon), star punches (Fiskars), flashcard, buttons, twine
I cut out three flowers from another piece of the same patterned paper and layered them with buttons under the picture. I played a while with the banner and finally decided to leave the tags as they are, just added three layered stars.

So what about you? Are you green? Come join us at Scrap It Girl in Go Green and Recycle challenge! There are some amazing entries, already! Kimberly offers a great prize to the winner!! Show us what you can make!
