This layout was inspired by the challenge from the new (to me) Israeli scrapbooking blog Yotzot MeHakavim. In Hebrew it means "stepping outside the lines". The challenge was to use cosmetic product on the layout. It was one of the most unusual scrapbooking challenges I ever participated in.
Supplies: patterned paper, stickers, letter stickers (Studio Calico), chipboard number (Basic Grey), glimmer mist (Tattered Angles), heart punch (Fiskars), eyeshadow, vintage button
I made this layout with Ella's first day of school picture. The fancy faded out picture border was done in Picasa. I love the new photo editing options they added in the last version! I used a sketch by Kristine Davidson for My Scraps & More. All papers and stickers are Studio Calico.
So what cosmetic product did I use? The green eyeshadow from the ALMAY Intense i-Color trio set came in handy for coloring this big chipboard number. I also gave it a coat of Meadow Green glimmer mist to add a little shine. Who knew? I will never look at my cosmetic product the same way.
The cute little button is one of my rummage sales find. It was a perfect shade of green.
I am glad to add this layout to Ella's album. I really love how it turned out.
This is really beautiful Maya. I love the strips and the banner of tags. And, I never would have guessed that you used eye shadow to color your elements.
