Sketch, card, sketch, card

It is always the same, I plan all my blog posts for the week, I have all intentions to post every day and than other things like cooking, laundry, driving the kids to their activities, exercising, demand their share of my time and my blogging slides to the bottom of my to do list.

Time management is definitely something that I should do better, but today I just wanted to share 2 cards.
I made the first one for the Authentique card sketch challenge. I cut out 8 big petal shapes from the patterned paper and layered them to make this big flower.
Supplies: patterned paper, tag (Authentique- Journey), ink (StazOn), button (Jenni Bowlin), stickles (Ranger Ink), twine

Few touches of Waterfall distress stickles give this card a festive feel. I also love the silver twine, it looks so elegant!

The next card has a completely different feel. I made it for the Tuesday Trio sketch blog. The added challenge for sketch 108 was to use 5 different colors. I used 3 shades of blue cardstock with pink and white. The funky stamp is from Fiskars "Birthday Cheer" stamp set. I colored the letters with blue and pink sharpie pens.

Supplies: cardstock (American Crafts), stamp (Fiskars), pens (Sharpie), pearl (K&Co), vintage button

  1. How Life does get in the way of the Important things, like Blogging! (but you wouldn't be without those small people, would you?)

The "flower" on your first card is really fab - I like the button in the centre too. Nice layout on that card. And the colours really "pop" on the second card - very bright and cheerful!
