New month and new challenge at Scrap It Girl! This month's challenge is to use fabric - Wool, Burlap, Canvas, Felt, Fabric, Fussy or soft stuff..
While getting ready to take on this challenge I also thought about the new challenge at the Israeli blog "Yotzot mehakavim" - yo-yo flowers. I love making yo-yo flowers, so I decided to make a big layered yo-yo flower for my layout. I reached into my "I may use it one day" bin and found this old scrunched tank top. The color was very similar to the peachy scarf that Lila is wearing in the picture and scrunched fabric gave nice and warm feel - perfect for these winter pictures.
I cut two circles from the fabric, made two yo-yo flowers and layered them adding Prima jeweled flower center.
Supplies: patterned paper, sticker, tag (Amy Tan for American Crafts), sequin (Doodlebug), flower center (Prima), chipboard (unknown), paint (Honig), glitter glaze (Lil' Davis), washi tape (Bella Blvd), tissue strips (Studio Calico), pearls (Melissa Frances), staples
The chipboard dress form and flourishes are pained with acrylic paint and covered with a nice layer of glitter glaze. I found a tube of pink glitter glaze in the basement. Yeah! I love this stuff!
I sewed the flower to the page to make sure it is laying as flat as possible. I have to admit that this is my first layout of 2013. Between making projects for Samantha Walker Creative Team and keeping up with my Project Life I don't have any time left for traditional scrapbooking. But that's ok! I love my first layout and hope for creative 2013.
Now let's see what you will make for the challenge! You can submit up to two projects. Don't forget to link back to the challenge! You can win a lovely prize!
מקסים! איזה יופי של reuse
