I found those pictures of Ella from 2002. We went to pick blueberries and she was having a blast! She didn't stop eating and when we were done she was covered with blueberries.

Tuesday Trio sketches 35 and 36

Another week went too fast! I was just planning to share my take on Tuesday Trio sketch 35 and oops, it is time for sketch 36 already.

The challenge for sketch 35 was "happy". I decided to make it simple and used Fiskars border punch to create a fancy border and cupcake epoxy stickers. Few letter stickers and pearls and viola - card is done! This challenge is open till October 2nd, 4pm Central time.

Scrapbook Express Diva! Read the news here. I submitted 2 layouts and 2 cards for the DT call. One layout and card were supposed to be based on this exclusive PageMaps sketch. That's what I did:

I used my Quickutz Revolution to cut the flourish border, scallop tag, the big flower on the right of the layout and the title. I actually bought my Revolution from Scrapbook Express few years ago. 90% of the product on this layout is from Basic Grey Origins line.

For the next layout I used Dear Lizzy Spring collection. What can be more perfect than this collection to scrap the pictures form the Spring concert? :) I am so happy that I finally found home for the concert program that I saved. Now I just need to find home to 20 others :)

I stitched a pocket from vellum to slip the program in and covered the pocket with pictures and embellishments.

I used the coordinated stamp set to stamp the rose several times on different papers, cut out different parts and layered them together.

The banner, the clouds and the trees are cut out of the paper. The title is again Qucikutz dies.

Happy Birthday my little boy

I can hardly believe but I know it is true - my little boy turned 2 yesterday. We had a little celebration with a big piece of chocolate cake and plan to celebrate more this weekend. Happy birthday my little prince! Thank you for bringing so much joy in our lives.

September is going too fast! Lila started her regular synchronized ice skating practices, play rehearslas and student council meetings. Ella will go to gymntastics and even Eli and me started Tumbling buddies gymnastics class.

Here are few creations that I didn't have time to share. This is my card for Tuesday Trio sketch 34. I actually made the sketch for this one. The challenge is to use a button. You have till September 25th, 4pm Central time to submit your take on a sketch.

I made this layout for Scrap That Baby Grandparents Day prompt. The pictures are from 2 years ago when my parents came to visit. I love them and love how it turned out.

Rosh Hashana table

We celebrated the Jewish New Year with friends at their house. I made the eggplants, salmon with beans and capers and prepared the "simanei hag" - the special food for blessing. I even found the fish head this year. :)

All patterned paper here are from Rosh Hashana kit by Crafting Jewish Style. It was so much fun to work with beautiful and moder jewish themed papers. I used Jana Eubank's sketch for this layout.

Beach bum

Few days ago I saw that SEI is having a DT call. I thought I will make a page for the call but didn't have any new SEI products. I checked my LSS and found few sheets of the paper from SEI "On the coast" collection. I knew they will be perfect for our beach pictures from Israel, but only when I started to put this page together I noticed that the black and white flower paper perfectly matches Eli's hat.

Lots of texture and dimension here. I used pop dots and stong adhesive to create the "waves" from the paper strips. My little banner is done with a circle punch and adhesive fabric tape from Love My Tapes I added few sea stars cut out from the patterned paper. Love how it all turned out. When I look at the layout I almost can smell the sea and feel the hot sand.

September 1st

Yesterday, September 1st, the girls started the new school year. My 7th grader thought about her first day of school outfit weeks in advance, woke up super early and at 7:10am was ready for the bus sporting the new clothes and shoes and the big hoop earrings. I can't believe she is mine. I love this girl!

My 4th grader did not agree to wear her new clothes (the fact that I had to drag her to the store to buy new clothes and that she doesn't want to wear her sister's small clothes is a different story). She wore tennis shoes because the shoes that she likes are not created yet. She went to school with the same backpack she has from the kindergarten because she didn't find anything she likes. (The backpack is in a great shape, I just thought she would want to have a new one). And, her bus came 10 minutes early so I didn't take her "first day of school" picture.

But I waited for her in the driveway with Eli and snapped this picture of her running from the bus, getting ready to give a big hug to her baby brother.

The little photo session by the front door didn't go as planned:

She cracks me up. I can't believe she is mine. I love this girl!

Me, I also started "school". I am taking Shimelle's class "Learn Something New Every Day"

Everyday in September I will focus on something new I learned that day. I will document my journey in a paper album and will post here weekly or maybe more often.

I gathered my supplies for this project. I will use 4x6 photo album from Target, Basic Grey Basics White 6x6 paper pad, Colorbox punch pad and one of the older Jenni Bowlin kits with red/black/cream color scheme. I also threw in some cream cardstock for printables and Heidi Swapp stamp set. I am sure I will use more than than (or maybe less?) but know it looks like a good start.

I am off to think what I learned yesterday and to live today - new lessons are waiting for me.

Tuesday Trio sketch 32

Another Tuesday came and gone and another Tuesday Trio sketch is up. I made a card and a layout using the current sketch. I was eager to us my new Martha Stewart stamp set that I picked up at TJMax for $1.99. For the card, I stamped the same flower several times, cut out different portions of the flower and layered them. The yellow background was cut out of felt.
