Central Park Squirels

are adorable! They behave like they are trained to entertain the visitors. It looks like they work there LOL We took some cute pictures of them and I picked 2 for this layout based on Becky Fleck sketch
I used Jenni Bowlin May kit with small additions - Basic Grey chipboard letters, CK (from Jo-Ann) letter stickers, Cloud 9 raindots and Gesso

Eli's calendar - 4th, 5th and 6th months

I decided to limit the products I am using for the calendar, to keep it simple and consistent. I picked the Animal Crackers line by Making Memories as a base. I added some Kraiser Crafts rub-ons, Fiskars stamps and punches and Heidi Grace letters. I need to print more index size photos and complete the 7th and 8th months now.

Eli's calendar - first 3 months

I knew I want to do this long before Eli was born - a calendar to document his first year. A place to write down all his "firsts" and to capture all little moments that disappear with time. I even decided on products I will be using and made the first page before Eli's birth. So untypical for me LOL

8 months passed and I am proud to say that I am keeping up with my project. (Another untypical thing). The calendar is hanging above Eli's changing table. I keep a journaling pen close and try to write down few words every few days. Few months ago I printed a bunch of index size photos and completed the calendar pages with stamping, little photos and some embellishments. Here are the first 3 months:

Lila@2

I was looking at the beautiful die cuts at The Scrappy Shack and was inspired to make a layout using some KI Memory die cut paper. I covered the chipboard heart with the die cut paper and added a generous layer of Cloud 9 Glitter Glaze. Little die cut edge decorated the top of the picture. This picture is the original enlargements that was printed 8 years ago. I just love using old pictures!

Most of the product used are from Jenni Bowlin May 2008 kit.

By the way, The Scrappy Shack is having a giveaway on the blog. I love the alphabet circle - it will look so cool on a layout.

Winter Portrait

The third ScrappyTimes challenge was to create a layout based on a sketch and to use 2 non-scrapbooking items. I knew that I am not in the game because I missed the deadline for the second challenge but nevertheless I decided to give it a try.
The adorable little girl in the fur jacket is my mom. I used the aluminium foil for the photo mat and the leaves. A piece of local newspaper with a nice coat of gesso is my second non-scrapbooking item. The paper is by 7 Gypsies, the white flowers are by Heidi Swapp

I love this layout and love the little girl in the fur jacket.

Pretty Girls and Flowers

My first Design Team assignment from JewishScrapbooking.com! :-)

I got an acrylic album from Green Geco Designs. Looking at the pretty flower shape of the album I thought it will be perfect to use for some pictures of flowers. I remembered about a trip to the Domes we took 4 years ago. We took some beautiful pictures that I never scrapped.

I used Heidi Swapp mask with acrylic paint on 2 pages and laced ribbon on other 3 pages. Other products used: Maya Road flowers, Jenni Bowlin paper, Making Memories rub-ons, Cloud 9 letter stickers and raindots, diamond glaze.

Cover and the second page

Pages 3 and 4

All dressed up

Matching purple nail polish is included :)

Lilush and Ofir went to the annual banquet hosted by our ice skating club. She will be wearing the same outfit for her 5th grade graduation party so we considered the banquet as a test run.

Yaffo

Here is a fun layout I made for Scrappy Times challenge (but I missed the deadline somehow LOL) The prompt was to use two of four: cardboard, the word fun, color blue and velvet.
I made a window from a piece of cardboard and distressed it with Ranger distress ink. Most of the products came from the Jenni Bowlin November 07 kit. I added some ric rac, rhinestones, rubons and raindots. The picture is from out trip to Israel last February. Yaffo is the name of the beautiful old town close to Tel-Aviv.
