This year I am participating in Project 12 by Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine. The idea is simple - 12 layouts for 12 months of the year. Each month they will post a sketch. I just need to find pictures that highlight that month and tell the story.
Here is my January layout based on January sketch. I followed the sketch closely on this one and I think it recaps nicely our January.
Few things I like about this layout - the music sheet patterned paper fits well the picture from the choir concert. The brick colored velvet ribbon is almost the same color as Lila's ice skating dress. I used Jenni Bowlin calendar tag for my title and will continue to do that on the rest of the layouts. The big snowflakes are cut from the silhouette paper by K&Company.
Supplies: cardstock (unknown), patterned paper (Martha Stewart(woodgrain), Creative Imaginations(music), Basic Grey(snowflakes), K&Co(big snowflakes), calendar tag (Jenni Bowlin), rhinestone(Martha Stewart), ribbon (Making Memories), border and corner punches (Martha Stewart), cloud scissors (Fiskars), star punch (Fiskars)The journaling didn't turn out very well. Maybe I will replace it when I will work on the next layout. But maybe not.
That is a great challenge and I love what you did for January!
