Samantha Walker projects

Today I just want to share two projects I made for Samantha Walker blog.

 Last week I made this quick layout using Samantha's "Cool Summer" collection for Carta Bella. I used Picasa to make a simple photo strip. Check the blog for more pictures and Picasa tutorial.

Supplies: patterned paper, chipboard, stickers (Carta Bella)

In May I used my sewing machine to actually sew fabric and not paper. I made new straps for my Sseko sandals.

I used the cute fabric from Samantha Walker Serenata collection and I even got a pedicure for the photo shoot :)

Look for more pictures and the full tutorial in the blog.

2 old T-shirts -> 2 cute pillows

June challenge at Mixim is re-purposed projects. I went to my "really don't want to throw it away but don't need it" pile and pulled out 2 t-shirts that Lila received at ice skating competitions in 2006 and 2007. Few hours later I had 2 cute little pillows. I forgot to take the pictures of the T-shirts but here is a picture of Lila wearing one of them 3 years ago.

And here are the pillows.

New blanket

A while ago Fiskateer Amanda posted how to make a flannel fringe blanket. I decided to give it a try and few months later I am finally done! The project doesn't take so much time I just took very big breaks between the steps :) I was absolutely sure that it will not work but somehow it did and now Eli has a cute little blanket.

My other recent creation is this vest. I think it turned out very sweet. :)

I've been quite lately but it's not because I don't have what to share. I did a lot of layouts in last few weeks, some for the challenges, some for the classes and some as gifts. And of course I have tons of cute pictures of Eli who is exactly 1 month and 7 days old today.

Here is a page I page for the grandma and grandpa to take home. I think I should make one for myself also. I used Fiskars October sketch and Heidi Grace "Only time" line.

This layout is from Big Picture Scrapbooking "Design Your Life" class by Cathy Zielske. Not very happy how it turned out and the colors are off in this picture but well, it's done.

This is my first sewing project! :) A little tote bag for Ella's Halloween costume. Now I feel ready to tackle bigger projects.

An the last but not least is the picture of my sweet baby boy - one month old here.
