The winner will be announced on Monday, 12/16 on Samantha's Facebook Page.
Now to my project. One of my favorite gifts is handmade cards. I am always on a lookout for creative packaging ideas as we all know that cute package sometimes is not less important than the gift itself.
That's why I got excited when I saw Samantha Walker A2 3D Stationary Box.
I chose pretty pink paper from Samantha Walker Giddy Up! Girl for Carta Bella.

You can make the whole box using
only two sheets of 12x12 paper but I wanted to make the contrast panels
from another pattern paper and added the third one. Here is the great tutorial by Samantha how to assembly the box. I will show you the modifications I made.
Next I wanted to decorate my box with lace edge. I opened Eyelet Scalloped Edge Card and used the knife tool to cut the lace edge off. I adjusted the width of the lace to 5.605" to be the same as the box.
I cut three copies of the laced edge and two more in smaller size to fit the sides of the box. I also cut the contrasting panels for the cover flap.
After the box was done I decided to make a tag using the free file that you can get by commenting on the posts in this blog hop.
I resized the tree to be 4" high (don't forget to lock the aspect ratio), made a duplicate and deleted the circles from the second copy. I cut the top layer from patterned paper and the bottom from glitter cardstock. This little tag is enough to write a holiday wish on the back.
All ready to be filled with handmade cards.
Thanks for stopping by today and during this year. I can hardly believe that 2013 is coming to an end. This is my last blog hop with Samantha Walker 2013 Creative Team. Looking back, it was a great year of learning and trying new things. Some of my most favorite projects were made for the blog hops. Here they are, all twelve of them.

Now to my project. I am thankful for my parents.
I used this picture of my mom and Eli taken during my parents visit this past August. I wish we would have more moments like that.
I took three sheets of 6x6 paper, curled the corners and used them as my photo mat. I tied them together with twine using the pre-punched holes in the paper.
I added few stickers from the same collection, handcut flowers and pearls.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Thanksgiving!

We will announce the Blog Hop Winner on Monday, 10/14 on Samantha's Facebook Page.
Now to my project. I made quick and simple Halloween treat bags. I used Samantha's Booti-ful Cameos stamp set (that you can win!) and the coordinating Spider Web Background stamp.
To make the bags I stamped three pieces of 3.25"x6" cardstock with spider web background stamp, distressed the edges and adhered them to small gift bags from Target.
I then stamped the cameos in black ink on white cardstock, stamped the witch/pumpkin/skull in orange in the center, cut out only the inner shape of the cameos and layered them on the top of the cameo image stamped in orange.
I didn't plan to use Silhouette for this project but couldn't resist the cutest bat that comes with the free October cut file. I ungrouped the shape, selected the shape with the bats and clicked on "Release compound path". After that I was able to select the bat shape and delete everything else. The original shape is 1.9" wide. I resized it to 1.6" and 1.3" locking the aspect ratio and cut out all three sizes.
Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Halloween!

We will announce the Blog Hop Winner on Monday, 09/16 on Samantha's Facebook Page.
For my mix and match project I started with pink Calico paper from Giddy Up girl collection and from a fun tag from the same collection. The light aqua frame on the tag gave me an idea to add frames to all my pictures. I pulled out all green/ turquoise/aqua papers from Giddy Up girl and boy collections, Cool Summer and Traditions and added thin frames to my 5 pictures in different hues of green.
I still wanted a little more green in the layout, so I cut out the scallop edge of the pink patterned paper and mounted the page on a sheet of dark aqua cardstock from Cool Summer collection.
I found a perfect journaling sticker in the Cool Summer collection with aqua frame and green banner. The sticker had two cute cherries in the corner that I covered with pink paisley from the Giddy Up sticker sheet.
Hope you got some ideas how very different collections can be combined together.

This year back to school time will be extra special for me since my youngest will start Kindergarten.
Our new home town doesn't have school buses and we are planning on walking to school if the weather will cooperate. To prepare him for the start of the school year I decided it will be fun to make a home-to-school map. (Any Dora the Explorer fans here?)
I used the new Samantha Walker alphabet letter to make School and Home. Eli helped me by choosing the colors of the cardstock and by pressing the Enter button on the Silhouette. In the few weeks left before the school we will practice our walk and will draw a map to hang in his room.

Welcome to Samantha Walker Creative Team Blog Hop!
This month's theme is Family Fun! You should have arrived here from Aimee's blog. This month's giveaway is All Boy Stamp Set

For my project I decided to use the free cut file that you can get by signing to Samantha's newsletter through the Rafflecopter. Here it is.
I loved the design of star and stripes and thought it could work great as a stencil. That's how the shape looks like when you open it in Silhouette Studio software.

I loved the design of star and stripes and thought it could work great as a stencil. That's how the shape looks like when you open it in Silhouette Studio software.
I ungrouped the shape, deleted the rectangular shape on the bottom, selected the flag, released the compound path and deleted two other rectangles.
I didn't plan on using the stencil more than once so I cut it from a piece of cardstock from my giveaway box.
I mixed some color with sparking texture medium. The red is acrylic paint and the blue is Faber-Castell gelato.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you were inspired to try these or any other beautiful cut files from Samantha Walker Silhouette Store.
