Scrappy Hands Plant Challenge

Hello my dear blog readers! Time for another Scrappy Hands challenge. This week the theme is "Plants"

I made a card using American Crafts collection that I got few years ago at Target dollar spot! I know, a little unconventional for scrapbooking shopping, but I liked the paper, so why not? One of the papers had 6 images of seed packets. I cut out the lilies packet, layered it on top of green chevron paper and added a sentiment sticker.

I finished with adding matching butterfly stickers and going over the lilies stamens with gold smooch ink.

Wintry layout - Scrappy Hands Challenge #56

Happy Sunday my dear blog readers! It is time for another Scrappy Hands challenge. This week we are inspired by winter. Although this year we have surprisingly mild winter I am not complaining :)
I think I can do without snow for one year.

I made a wintry and festive layout with the pictures from my recent day out in the city. I love going to the city with Lila, especially during the winter holidays.

I wanted to include a lot of pictures. I made a photo collage with my phone pictures in Picasa, printed it as 8x10 and cut it apart.

I used minimal embellishments - white cardstock, some patterned paper, fussy cutting and letter stickers.

Stop by the Scrappy Hands blog to see more wintry projects and maybe share your project inspired by winter with us,

P.S. Fingers crossed this winter is not changing it's course.

Sweet birthday card - Scrappy Hands challenge

Hello my dear blog readers! For my first post of 2016 I am going to share a sweet and happy card. I hope it will set the mood for the rest of the year. That would be great, right?

I made it for the Scrappy Hands new challenge

The challenge theme is "candy" or "sweets" and I used bright colored cardstock stripes to make a birthday cake.

I used a scallop blade of my trimmer to make a cake pedestal and added few epoxy heart stickers.

I finished with a little banner decorated with the birthday girl name.

I hope your first week of 2016 is wonderful and sweet!
