3 cards and a layout

If you are looking for the Tuesday Trio Blog Hop post please scroll down :)

This past weekend Ella was invited to 2 birthday parties, one of them for twins. That means we needed 3 birthday cards. The twins mom asked to bring an unwrapped gift to be donated Boys and Girls of America. I still wanted to bring something small for the birthday girl and boy, so I found those glow in the dark silly bands and built birthday cards around them. I attached each package of silly bands with 2 glue dots.

The first card is for the birthday girl. It is also one of my DT projects for Scrapbook Express.

Supplies: cardstock (Bazill Basics Dotted Swiss), patterned paper (American Crafts), layered sticker (My Mind's Eye), flower and chick punch (Fiskars), ink (Colorbox), stamp (Papertrey Ink), pen (Sakura)

Next is the boy version of the card.

Supplies: cardstock (Recollections), patterned paper and stickers (Basic Grey), ink (Brilliance)

The last card is for the girl that celebrated her birthday with Halloween party. Inside Ella glued candy and little black bat.

Supplies: patterned paper and diecut shapes (My Mind's eye), punch (Fiskars)

And here is my favorite creation. I always loved this photo of Lila taken at her preschool. It was her 3rd birthday party and she looks so happy with this chocolate cake smeared on her face. I loved her curly hair. Sadly after she turned 5 the curls disappeared. This is an original photo printed in 2001.

Supplies: patterned paper (Making Memories, Bella Blvd), chipboard (Bella Blvd), tapes (Love My Tapes), journaling circles (Jenni Bowlin), big pink flowers (Heidi Swapp), small flower (unknown), letter stickers (Bella Blvd), stickles (Ranger), epoxy stickers (Cloud 9)

Tuesday Trio sketch 39 and Blog Hop

New Tuesday Trio sketch is up and this time you have a special treat. You can get to know the new Design Team members and participate in the first Tuesday Trio Blog Hop.

First of all, the challenge for sketch 39 is to use something dimensional. Few months ago I made a bunch of paper roses. I used some of them on the layout but still had plenty of leftovers. 3 of them found their way to this card. Pay attention to the cream square with the fancy border - made with my new Martha Stewart punch. I am in love with this punch!

Supplies: cardstock (Recollections), felt (Creative Imaginations), ribbon (Making Memories), circle tag (Making Memories), leaf stamp (Hero Arts), sentiment stamp (American Crafts), pen (Sakura), ink (Colorbox), pearl (Kaiser Craft), border punch (Martha Stewart)

Stop by the blog to see what other DT members created for this challenge. You can also play with us! You have till October 30th, 4pm Central time to submit your take on the challenge.

And now to the Blog Hop. Each DT member is going to share with you her take on this sketch. Inside the post there will be a hidden word. Find all 8 words, email them to tuesday3trio@gmail.com and you will receive free digital kit designed by Dailly.
My word for you is "first rainfall" (יורה). Here is the list of the DR girls and their blogs.

Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!

Leaves garland

A year ago I saw this beautiful felt garland. I loved it and was waiting for the opportunity to make one. The fall that arrived here quickly and already colored almost all trees with bright colors reminded me again about that leaves garland. I used Fiskars USX leaves template to trace the leaves on few sheets of felt and cut them out. After that I just stitched them together one after another. Super easy. Definitely one of the projects that can involve kids. They can help trace the leaves, cut them out and even sew. You can also use paper for the leaves. I think it will look great.

Tuesday Trio sketch 37

The latest Tuesday Trio sketch comes with an inspirational challenge - create a project based on this picture of Kopio desert.

My card was inspired by the colors of the sandy dunes and green palm trees. I handdrew the palm tree and used plain shipping tag to stamp the sentiment. Now I just need to find out who is going on exotic vacation :)

Supplies: cardstock (Wausau Paper), tag (Office Depot), bingo card (Making Memories), faux eyelets (Jo-Ann), stamps (Heidi Swapp), ink (Colorbox)

You have till October 16th, 4pm Central time, to submit your creation based on this challenge. Can't wait to see what you create!

More news to share

I am very excited to share that I was invited to be part of the Crafting Jewish Style Design Team! This is my first layout as a DT member. I used the Rosh Hashanah kit and added the blue paper from the Hanukkah kit. The background is sponged with white acrylic paint.

For my circle I punched the holes along the edge and weaved the ribbon through the holes making the knots on the front. I had to go twice around the circle to have a full circle of ribbon on the front. The ribbon was part of the kit. The apple also came with the kit. I misted it with gold Glimmer Mist to make it shine.

Supplies: patterned paper, stickers, ribbon (Crafting Jewish Style), flower ribbon (unknown), letters (Basic Grey), paint (Honig), pearls (Kaizer Craft), mist (Tattered Angels), ink (Colorbox), border punch (Fiskars), die and die-cut machine (QuiKutz)
